It has a positive effect on the circulation and lymphatic system and is an excellent way to both stimulate and relax, due to direct affect to our nervous system. Massage therapy helps increase serotonin and dopamine, another mood-related neurotransmitter. It also helps to decrease cortisol, a hormone your body produces when stressed.
